With Global Business Comes Global Responsibility

American takes pride in helping its communities.

At American, we recognize that our scale and connectedness offers a unique ability to support charitable action and economic growth worldwide. American’s destinations, facilities and other operations span the world, and as the merger extends our reach, we are expanding our commitment to support the communities we serve.

American’s operations account for the safe and expedient transportation of millions of passengers every year. It is the mission of the airline to bring value to all of the places we work and the lives we touch. As the airline continues to grow and enhance existing facilities, American has invested steadily in infrastructure across our global network.

Both American and US Airways maintain a diverse mix of community activities and will continue to do so as operations become more integrated in the coming months.

American’s core initiatives focus on three areas — education, human services, and military and veterans. The airline hosts annual campaigns that generate support for those in need. The company also fosters nonprofit education and human-services organizations, such as Puppies In Flight, a partnership with Assistance Dogs International, which supports employees who volunteer their time and travel benefits to help acclimate aid dogs and their disabled human partners to the travel experience.
