The Next-Generation Aircraft Is Here

Bringing you more new planes every week

We’re taking delivery of an average of two new planes per week in 2014 and refreshing our existing aircraft to bring you a more modern, more comfortable and more connected experience.

This summer, all flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), as well as between JFK and San Francisco International Airport (SFO), will be flown on our new A321T aircraft. The state-of-the-art A321T offers a comfortable flying experience from coast to coast with fully lie-flat seats in First and Business Class and direct aisle access for all First Class guests that makes it easy to move about the cabin. The aircraft is also equipped with Main Cabin Extra, a seating option that provides up to six inches of extra legroom. Additionally, every seat on the A321T includes personal in-seat entertainment, a power outlet, a USB port and in-flight Wi-Fi. We’re proud to be the only airline to offer three classes of service on a transcontinental flight.

American Eagle® continues to refresh its fleet with new aircraft as well, including the Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen and the Embraer E-175. We plan to begin flying the new 76-seat CRJ900 this summer and will begin taking delivery of more 76-seat E-175 aircraft in early 2015. These fuel-efficient regional planes feature 12 First Class seats and 64 Main Cabin seats, including select seats with additional legroom. As part of our commitment to keep you connected and comfortable while you travel, the CRJ900 offers in-flight Wi-Fi while providing generous legroom in both the Main and First Class cabins.
