Premium Experience

American has elevated the onboard customer experience in First and Business Class cabins on international flights.

This new premium inflight experience has been introduced on all international 777-200ER, 767-300ER, and 757 aircraft flying in Europe, Asia, and select Latin America markets, in addition to the 777-300ER aircraft that began flying in early 2013.

New Premium Seating
When we debuted the Flagship Suite as our First Class seat on the 777-200, it quickly garnered the reputation as one of the premier products in the industry. The Flagship Suite introduced a seat capable of transforming into a fully lie-flat bed, 100 percent all-aisle access, in-seat personal entertainment, powerports, and generous personal space to provide our customers with a comfortable and functional workspace. Once considered a luxury, these features have become essential for today’s customer. Now at American, we are excited to introduce these customer necessities to the First and Business Class cabins on all of our international widebody aircraft beginning with our new 777-300ER, which debuted in early 2013.

In addition, we’ll soon offer many of these features on our new Airbus A321 Transcon, which will fly from New York (JFK) to Los Angeles and San Francisco. This state-of-the-art aircraft is complete with fully lie-flat First and Business Class seats, offering our customers a more comfortable and modern travel experience when they fly coast to coast.

Our First and Business Class customers on the 777-300ER and the Airbus A321 Transcon will also be able to enjoy several other features, including:
•  Inflight Wi-Fi
•  In-seat entertainment on an HD-capable touch-screen
monitor with access to:
—  More than 700 hours of on-demand audio and
video entertainment
—  Up to 250 movies, over 150 TV shows and 350 audio selections
•  Bose Quiet Comfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones
•  110v universal AC power outlets and USB jacks at every seat
•  Seats with individual tray tables featuring a larger work surface

First and Business Class Amenities
First Class customers traveling onboard Boeing 777s receive a quilted bed topper – custom designed to fit our seats – pajamas, and slippers as part of our turndown service. The suite of amenities includes a lightweight day blanket, new premium duvet and pillow in addition to an amenity kit which doubles as a tablet case, containing Dermalogica skin care products and other travel necessities.

Customers traveling in American’s Business Class cabin onboard all widebody international flights, as well as select Boeing 757 flights to and from Europe, can enjoy a duvet, pillow, slippers, and an amenity kit with Akhassa cosmetics. 

Food and Drinks
American offers a variety of food and beverage options for First and Business Class customers, including a selection of soups, customizable pasta entrées, and expanded signature sundae cart offerings. First Class customers can now enjoy a pre-landing sweet treat and spa water. Business Class customers can also now indulge in an updated dessert service.

When First Class customers order an inflight wine sampling, they will receive a tasting card to assist in their selections. All offerings are specifically chosen for the flight by American’s wine consultant, Ken Chase. In addition, our First and Business Class customers can enjoy a variety of complimentary spirits, beers, and other beverages.

For First and Business Class customers looking for a snack or to stretch their legs, American is proud to be the first U.S. airline to offer a walk-up bar on our 777-300 aircraft where customers can choose from a selection of sweet and savory snacks available anytime between meal services.
