American launched daily nonstop service from Dallas/Fort Worth to Madrid
FORT WORTH, Texas, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Summer fun and adventures started early for American Airlines customers. Those who seek the sights, culture, and experiences of Spain can join them.
On Friday, May 1 American launched daily nonstop service from Dallas/Fort Worth to Madrid. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Madrid-Barajas International Airport (MAD) now connect North Texas and the Central and Western United States with the capital of Spain.
The DFW to MAD flight leaves daily from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 5:30 p.m. CDT, and arrives in Madrid at 9:55 a.m. local time the next day after a nine and a half hour flight.
Once visitors deplane and exit customs, the Madrid Metro can be taken to the Atocha railway station. From there, American's customers can take a two-hour and 15 minute ride on the Alta Velocidad Espana (AVE), the country's high-speed rail network, to Seville for an afternoon exploring the Plaza de Espana. AVE also transports travelers to and from Malaga and Barcelona. Eventually, travelers will be able to take the AVE from Atocha to all Spain's cities.
DFW to Madrid is only the beginning of the adventure. American, its oneworld® Alliance partners, the new service provides convenient and seamless travel to 87 nonstop destinations beyond Madrid into Europe, Africa and Asia.
