Being A Road Warrior Could Pay Off In Half A Million Ways

FORT WORTH, Texas, July 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- American Way magazine, the award-winning inflight magazine of American Airlines and American Eagle, invites customers to enter the 11th Annual American Way Road Warrior Contest. Customers can visit www.americanwaymag.com/roadwarrior by Aug. 31 to fill out a simple survey, and complete a series of fun tasks set forth by the American Way editors.

"Each year some of the most seasoned airline travelers enter the Road Warrior Contest, and we're always awed by their expertise and intriguing lives," said Anne Weidner, American Way Senior Marketing Manager. "It's a great way for us to connect with our customers on a personal level."

Five Road Warrior finalists will be chosen by the American Way editorial staff and then American Way readers will determine the Grand Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize winners by voting online for their favorite contestant.

Nearly 60,000 travelers have entered the annual contest over the past 10 years in hopes of winning the coveted Road Warrior title and amazing prizes. This year's Grand Prize winner will enjoy a cool 500,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles. The Second Prize winner will receive 300,000 AAdvantage bonus miles. Three Third Prize winners will each score 200,000 AAdvantage bonus miles. Each of the five Road Warriors will also win one Bose® Wave® music system, one pair of Bose QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones, five free Rental Reward Days from Avis®, one Samsung Galaxy S® III smartphone and one Samsung Galaxy Tab®.

All five of the newest Road Warriors will participate in a photo shoot at The Grand Del Mar Resort in San Diego, the only Forbes Triple Five Star property on the West Coast and one of only five with this designation named in 2012. Official car service for the photo shoot is provided by Avis, including Avis Chauffeur Drive® by WeDriveU® Chauffeur Service. The Road Warriors will be featured on the cover and throughout the March 15, 2013 issue of American Way with their travel tales, photos and more.

Entries for the 11th Annual American Way Road Warrior Contest will be accepted until Aug. 31, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. The entry form and Official Rules are available online at www.americanwaymag.com/roadwarrior. Winners will be announced in the March 15, 2013, issue of American Way.
