American Airlines to Hire Additional Reservations Representatives in South Florida
MIAMI – American Airlines today announced plans to hire 80 additional full-time, home-based Reservations Representatives in South Florida. The new employees will be able to work from home, assisting customers with their travel needs by providing information on schedules, fares and flight information. The airline will begin a seven-week training program on June 10.
The first local group of 88 home-based representatives was hired last winter and is currently in training.
“We had a tremendous response when we posted the first 88 openings, and we are glad to be able to offer additional jobs,” said Marilyn DeVoe, American’s Vice President – Miami. “These positions will help us provide exceptional service to our customers and assist them with all of their travel needs.”
American and its regional affiliate American Eagle currently employ 9,850 employees in South Florida, making AMR Corporation one of the largest private employers in the area.
