American Eagle Airlines to Begin Service Between Wausau, Wis., and Chicago O'Hare

American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add three daily nonstop flights between Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Central Wisconsin Airport in Wausau, Wis. (CWA), beginning June 1.

American Eagle will operate the service with 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jets.

"We are pleased to be serving Central Wisconsin again," said Gary Foss, Vice President - Marketing and Planning at American Eagle. "This new service will allow customers from Central Wisconsin the opportunity to connect to anywhere in the world that American, American Eagle and its oneworld® partners fly."

"This development is welcome news," said Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wis.). "The American Eagle service between O'Hare and Wausau will increase transportation options for Wisconsinites and will encourage greater business and commerce between the regions."

"The Central Wisconsin Joint Airport Board is excited to learn of American Eagle's entry into our air service market. CWA is committed to continuously improving air service, realizing that it is the lifeblood to commerce and our growing economy. The Central Wisconsin community looks forward to a long-lasting relationship with American Eagle," said Tony Yaron, Central Wisconsin Airport Director.
