American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add a daily nonstop flight between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Okaloosa Regional Airport beginning Sept. 5.
American Eagle will operate the service with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jets. American Eagle already has two daily round trips between Dallas/Fort Worth and Okaloosa Regional Airport.
"This is a great opportunity for Northwest Florida," said Rep. Jeff Miller (R-Fla.). "I congratulate American Eagle for enhancing their service to our area. This nonstop flight is not only beneficial for local business and pleasure travelers, but provides Chicagoans a two-hour escape to paradise."

With the addition of the new Fort Walton Beach service, American Eagle will serve seven cities in the Gulf Coast region from Chicago: Birmingham, Ala. (two daily); Baton Rouge, La. (one daily); Jackson, Miss. (one daily); Mobile, Ala. (one daily); Pensacola, Fla. (five daily); and Shreveport, La. (one daily).
