American Airlines Welcomes Customers Aboard With New Employee Greetings

American Kicks Off 2011 with New Video Campaign to Welcome and Thank Customers

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- "We are glad you're here." That's the message American Airlines employees want customers around the globe to know. The airline is ringing in the new year with a new inflight video campaign featuring one of the company's most valuable assets – the friendly faces of its top-notch employees.

"We want our customers to know we appreciate their loyalty and are thankful for their business," said Rob Friedman, American's Vice President – Marketing. "Our new welcome videos put a face to this sentiment by featuring some of American's many dedicated employees who work tirelessly to ensure our customers have a safe and enjoyable travel experience."

Four videos were created using a diverse group of employees from many of American's customer-facing workgroups, and are shown on all American flights with inflight entertainment capabilities. The videos differ by aircraft type and are played prior to the airline safety video to welcome customers onboard and thank them for their patronage.
