American Airlines to Offer Double AAdvantage Miles on JFK-St. Kitts Flights Beginning Sunday
Travelers who fly on American Airlines new route between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York and St. Kitts/Nevis, beginning this Sunday, will earn double AAdvantage miles for every qualifying round trip or one-way trip through Feb. 12, 2008.
This AAdvantage bonus-mile offer may be earned an unlimited number of times for travel from JFK to St. Kitts and Nevis from Nov. 18, 2007, through Feb. 12, 2008. To qualify, AAdvantage members must purchase a valid published-fare ticket and register prior to travel at http://www.aa.com/offers using promotion code NYCRB.
American will offer the only nonstop service currently scheduled between the New York area and St. Kitts and Nevis, a twin-island paradise located just east of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
American will fly the route twice weekly -- on Wednesdays and Sundays -- with Boeing 757 aircraft, configured with 22 seats in First Class and 166 seats in the Economy cabin.
"Earlier this year we made it clear that American Airlines intends to be the preferred airline in New York, and our new nonstop service to St. Kitts and Nevis is part of that commitment," said Chuck Imhof, American's Vice President of Passenger Sales -- Greater New York. "From New York, travelers on American can expect convenient flights to lots of destinations, competitive fares, and in the case of JFK, a sparkling new state-of-the-art terminal. We now look forward to showing residents of the Tri-State area what a wonderful addition St. Kitts and Nevis are to our schedule."
"We are delighted that American Airlines will operate nonstop service from New York to St. Kitts and Nevis," said Robert Kelly, Director-USA, St. Kitts Tourism Authority.
"We offer visitors unspoiled beauty, first-world hospitality, and excellent shopping, resorts and facilities -- all in an uncrowded environment. And it's just a short flight from New York on American. St. Kitts and Nevis is an ideal destination for a quick getaway or an extended vacation."
