American Airlines to Give Away 1 Million AAdvantage Miles During Mavericks Playoffs

American Airlines is giving away 1 million AAdvantage® miles during the Dallas Mavericks 2007 playoff run with "The Million Mile Giveaway," a series of outside-the-arena and on-the-court contests for Mavericks fans during home playoff games at American Airlines Center. "American Airlines is thrilled to give away 1 million AAdvantage miles as part of this promotion," said Jeff Fehlis, American's Director of sales - Dallas/Fort Worth. "The partnership allows us to show Mavs fans we can take them anywhere they want to go, including the playoffs. We look forward to bringing Mavs fans closer to the playoff action and the cities we serve."

Before each home game, fans can audition for an on-the-court spot at the AT&T Plaza on the south side of American Airlines Center. Each game features a different challenge to test contestants' athletic and intellectual abilities. A panel of judges will determine the top participants, who will then compete in front of a sold-out crowd inside American Airlines Center during a break in game action.

One grand prize winner will be chosen each game with the winner receiving 25,000 AAdvantage miles (50,000 miles for any and all home games in Round 4) and two tickets to the Mavs next 2007 home playoff game. The winner will also automatically qualify for the next round of challenges and compete against two new contestants at the next home game. In addition, American Airlines will give 25,000 AAdvantage miles to Make-A-Wish Foundation® for each playoff home game (50,000 miles for any and all home games in Round 4). Any miles remaining at the end of the promotion will also be given to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
