NEW YORK, Nov. 19, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines today announced the promotion of Johna Johnson to the new position of Director of Sales-New York. Johnson joined American in 1999 and most recently managed the company's largest portfolio of global corporate accounts. She negotiated multi-national agreements while maintaining the travel relationships between American and a number of its most important Fortune 100 customers. In her new role, Johnson aims to further increase American's global customer footprint in the Greater New York region by spearheading business development and client sales initiatives. She will also be responsible for integrating American's benefits from its transatlantic and transpacific joint businesses into corporate contracts and agency programs.
