American Airlines Offers New Service to Asia With New Nonstop Service From New York JFK to Tokyo Haneda

Customers Can Earn Up to 15,000 American Airlines AAdvantage Bonus Miles

NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- On Jan. 20, 2011, American Airlines will begin flying to Tokyo Haneda, nonstop from New York's JFK. Customers who fly on this new route can earn up to 15,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles for each qualifying roundtrip through Apr. 30, 2011.

Travelers who purchase tickets and fly in First or Business Class during the promotional period will earn 15,000 AAdvantage bonus miles for roundtrip travel between New York JFK and Tokyo Haneda. Travelers who purchase select Economy Class fares (booked in Y, B, M, H or K) will earn 10,000 AAdvantage bonus miles. Travelers who purchase discount Economy Class fares (booked in Q, V, S, W or L) will earn 5,000 AAdvantage bonus miles. Bonus miles may be earned an unlimited number of times.

Customers flying to Asia aboard the three-class, 247-seat Boeing 777 can enjoy the style and comfort of the American Airlines Flagship(SM) experience in First and Business Class as well as entertainment at every seat in the Main Cabin. Customers can choose to pre-order Japanese-style entrees prior to their flight at no cost. The pre-order option provides convenience to customers traveling to and from Japan. In addition, a variety of teas are available onboard for premium customers traveling from Tokyo Haneda to New York JFK including English Breakfast Tea, Earl Grey, Pure Peppermint, Darjeeling, and Pure Camomile Flowers. Green tea and regular tea are also offered on flights to and from Japan.

Terms and Conditions

AAdvantage bonus mile offer is valid on American Airlines marketed and operated nonstop flights for roundtrip travel between New York (JFK) and Tokyo Haneda (HND) January 20, 2011, through April 30, 2011. One-way travel will earn half the applicable bonus. Offer applies only to AAdvantage members who purchase and fly on eligible published-fare tickets. Flights operated by our codeshare partners are not eligible for this promotion. Bonus miles will be awarded based on the booking class purchased and do not count toward elite status qualification. Bonus may be earned an unlimited number of times. Registration prior to travel is required.
