'American Airlines Living Your Dream' Debuts - Profiles of African-American Success Stories in Business

Airline Collaborates with Popular Author and Radio Personality Michael Baisden

American Airlines today begins a new series of radio profiles of successful African-American business people. Called, "American Airlines Living Your Dream," the series is a collaboration with The Michael Baisden Show, which airs weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. EDT on the ABC Radio Network.

Each month, host Michael Baisden will interview guests selected by American Airlines for their outstanding achievements, often despite overwhelming challenges. Many of the people who are highlighted will be chosen from among the airlines' many African-American customers and suppliers.

This month, "American Airlines Living Your Dream" will profile Gail Warrior Lawrence, the president and CEO of the Warrior Group, Inc. Founded in 1997, the Warrior Group is a multi-million dollar provider of premiere modular construction services. Headquartered in DeSoto, Texas, the company has 38 employees and is the largest woman-owned provider of modular buildings in the United States.

"In our business, we meet a lot of people," said Roger Frizzell, American Airlines Vice President of Advertising and Corporate Communications. "Over the years, we have found that many of them have overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles to achieve success. They have remarkable stories to tell and I know the public will be inspired by hearing them."

"Our show is all about promoting positive, active change by discussing real topics that resonate with our listeners and their communities," said Baisden. "This new feature with American Airlines allows us to build on our message of hope and inspiration by telling the stories of individuals who have achieved personal success and who motivate others to conquer their own challenges."
