During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 10 Percent of American Airlines Gift Card Purchase Can Be Designated to Benefit Komen for the Cure
FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, American Airlines is inviting consumers to join the fight against breast cancer when purchasing an American Airlines Gift Card. During October, when gift card buyers specify Komen as the beneficiary, American will donate $5 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for every $50 of travel purchased via the American Airlines Gift Card.
"The American Airlines Gift Card is the ultimate present for people who love to travel," said Roger Frizzell, American's Vice President - Corporate Communications and Advertising. "Now, it's possible to give the gift of travel while supporting Komen for the Cure in its mission to end breast cancer forever. This is just one of the ways we are honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness month at American and we are proud to offer this opportunity for our customers to participate."
American Airlines Gift Cards are available in denominations from $50 to $1,500, and can be applied toward the purchase of any American Airlines, American Eagle or AmericanConnection® published fare. Unlike many gift cards, there is no expiration date.

Komen for the Cure. "The American Airlines Gift Card gives people a new way to support this important cause and to help fund research to find the cures for breast cancer."
