American Airlines today issued the following statement regarding RegionsAir:
One of three AmericanConnection carriers, RegionsAir, has canceled flights between nine Midwestern cities and American's Lambert - St. Louis International Airport hub through March 31 in order to resolve FAA issues with its Line Check Airman Certification and Training program.
American Airlines reservations agents will rebook passengers without penalty whose flights have been cancelled or offer full refunds for the portion of their travel affected by the cancellations.
American regrets the passenger inconvenience these cancellations will cause.
RegionsAir of Smyrna, Tennessee operates 27 roundtrip turboprop flights from Lambert.
RegionsAir is the operator of 19-seat BAE Jetstream 32s to Burlington, Iowa; Decatur, Marion, Springfield and Quincy, Ill; Ft. Leonard Wood and Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Owensboro, Ky.; and Jackson, Tenn.
