American Airlines Hosts Destination Travel Lounge at Savor Dallas 2009

American will showcase its premium class travel at the fifth annual Savor Dallas International Grand Tasting

DALLAS, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines is appealing to the palates of food and wine fans with its special destination travel experience. American will showcase its premium class travel at the fifth annual Savor Dallas International Grand Tasting food and wine event Saturday, March 7, at the Westin City Center Dallas.

During Savor Dallas 2009, American will present the Flagship(SM) Experience (www.aa.com/flagship) at its American Airlines Savor Dallas Destination Travel Lounge where event participants can view and experience the luxury of American's premium class travel. In celebration of American's new daily nonstop service between DFW and Madrid, Spain, which begins May 1, the lounge will feature American's Business Class seat, display samples of the airline's Spanish menu offerings, and other flavorful entrees available on American Airlines flights worldwide. The airline will also pour samples from American's award-winning wine list.

Food and Wine

Like Savor Dallas, which features a global array of premium wines, fine wine is at the center of American Airlines premium service, and has won critical acclaim, time after time. To add to the Savor Dallas selection, attendees will have an opportunity to sample Spanish wines which will be available on American Airlines flights from DFW to Madrid when American's daily nonstop service begins May 1.

Events and Activities

American, a founding member of the oneworld® Alliance, will showcase its Business Class seats, currently flying on American's Boeing 767-300 and 777 aircraft. American will fly the DFW-Madrid route with its 225-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft in two-class configuration.

Tickets for the International Grand Tasting are $125 per person. Savor Dallas also offers a PRESTIGE Saturday Tasting Pass for $225, which includes admission to the Reserve Tasting at the Nasher Sculpture Center, the International Grand Tasting, and a special new VIP Lounge, a private, ultra premium food and wine tasting room.
