American Airlines Hosts Destination Travel Lounge at Savor Dallas 2008

American Airlines, the world's largest airline, is hoping to appeal to the palates and taste buds of food and wine lovers -- and market its destination travel experience -- at the Savor Dallas International Grand Tasting food and wine event Saturday, March 8, at the Westin City Center Dallas/Plaza of the Americas.

During Savor Dallas 2008, American will also present the Flagship(sm) Experience (http://www.aa.com/flagship) at the American Airlines Savor Dallas Destination Travel Lounge where event participants can view and experience the luxury of American's premium class travel. The lounge will feature American's new next-generation Business Class seat, samples from American's award-winning wine list, and the tropical tastes of the airline's new Hawaiian menu offerings created by guest chef Sam Choy, as well as other flavorful entrees available on American Airlines flights worldwide.

    Food and Wine

Like Savor Dallas, which features a global array of premium wines, fine wine is at the center of American Airlines premium service, and has won critical acclaim time after time. To add to the Savor Dallas selection, attendees will have an opportunity to sample wines available on American Airlines flights.

    Events and Activities

American, a founding member of the oneworld® Alliance, will showcase the new next-generation Business Class seats, currently flying on American's Boeing 767-300 and 777 aircraft. In addition, Savor Dallas participants will have the opportunity to pose for a picture and receive a personalized souvenir copy of American Way, the inflight magazine of American Airlines.

Tickets for the International Grand Tasting are $125 per person and include a commemorative Savor Dallas 2008 Riedel Crystal tasting glass from American Airlines (while supplies last) and a special American Airlines destination dining plate to help event goers enjoy food samples from the 60 celebrity chefs serving their signature cuisine. The ticket also includes admission to the exciting After Party for the chefs and winemakers. The party starts at 10 p.m. in the Window's Ballroom of the Westin City Center Dallas.

This year, Savor Dallas offers a special Saturday Night Package including the incredible Reserve Tasting, the International Grand Tasting, and the Chef's After-Party for only $200 per person. Tickets are available at the Savor Dallas Web site, http://www.savordallas.com/.
