American Airlines and PLUNA Announce Codeshare Agreement
Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay American Airlines and PLUNA, Uruguays flag carrier, have agreed on a codeshare agreement to place PLUNAs PU code on Americans nonstop Montevideo-Miami flights as soon as all government approvals are received.
From its Miami hub, American and American Eagle offer more than 300 daily flights to more than 100 destinations in the U.S., Europe, Mexico, Caribbean and Latin America.

Pluna (www.flypluna.com) operates a fleet of 11 Bombardier CRJ 900 Nextgen fleet. PLUNA currently connects the cities of Montevideo and Punta del Este (Uruguay) with two destinations in Argentina, one in Chile, one in Paraguay and nine in Brazil. By the end of 2011 PLUNA add include two new Bombardier airplanes.
