American Airlines Strengthens its Network with Service to Cities in Asia, Europe and Latin America

More International and Domestic Cities from Dallas/Fort Worth; More European and Domestic Service from Chicago O'Hare and New Service to Europe from New York - JFK

American Airlines announced today that it will launch service to markets in Asia, Europe and Latin America, delivering on the airline's business plan and network strategy designed to offer customers more choices to new destinations. Next year, American will begin the following international services: Dallas/Fort Worth ─ Seoul, South Korea; Dallas/Fort Worth ─ Lima, Peru; Chicago O'Hare ─ Dusseldorf, Germany; and New York JFK ─ Dublin, Ireland.

This new service enhances American's network footprint and will provide more access and choices for customers in key international markets. It will also add domestic service to match customer demand through its Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago hubs. Customers can begin booking travel for all these routes beginning Nov. 4. 

DFW-Seoul (ICN) Highlights:

  • one of the top ten premium markets in the world
  • will be operated as part of American’s Joint Business with Japan Airlines
  • connects travelers from South Korea to more than 200 onward flights within the U.S. and Latin America through DFW

ORD-Dusseldorf (DUS)

  • operated on AA metal as a codeshare with oneworld partner, airberlin
  • customers can fly to Dusseldorf as well as to cities such as Moscow, Tel Aviv and Nice through airberlin's extensive route network
  • will be operated as part of the Joint Business with British Airways and Iberia

JFK-Dublin (DUB) Highlights:

  • operated as part of the Joint Business with British Airways and Iberia
  • there is corporate travel demand from New York to Dublin

DFW-Lima (LIM) Highlights:

  • AA provides more service than any other airline between North America and Latin America with more than 900 weekly flights to 49 destinations.
  • customers can access 30 destinations to Central America, Mexico, and South America from DFW
  • combination of American’s MIA and DFW hubs allow the airline to serve 90 percent of the U.S. to Latin America traffic – more than any other airline
