    Food and Beverage Service (Domestic and International)

    American Airlines provides a complimentary meal service for premium class customers on all flights that have flying times more than two hours and operate within traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner times. American strives to provide customers with fresh, unique menu options and regularly collaborates with notable chefs to create inflight entrees. For example, one of American’s newest additions to the culinary team is Chef Richard Sandoval. Sandoval’s premium class entrees include Halibut with Truffle Corn Salsa and Lemongrass Marinated Chicken Breast.

    In addition, American offers premium class customers a wide range of complimentary beverages including beer, wine and spirits. American works closely with Ken Chase, a classically trained wine maker and viticulturist, to provide customers with a range of award-winning wines specially selected by style, geography, uniqueness and grape varietal.


    International Turndown Service and New Premium Class Amenities (Select International Flights)

    Customers traveling in First and Business Class on international flights can enjoy American’s new suite of premium class amenities. New amenities include a quilted bed topper custom-designed to fit American’s popular Flagship Suite, pajamas and slippers as part of the airline’s new turndown service. Also, a lightweight day blanket, new premium duvet and pillow, and an amenity kit featuring a bag with an authentic Eames Office® design pattern and containing Dermalogica® skincare products and other travel necessities complete the new suite of amenities..

    Last year, American became the first airline to offer a turndown service for First Class customers on select international flights. The full suite of products, including the turndown service, is featured in First Class cabins onboard all international flights served by Boeing 777-200s. American's Business Class cabins onboard all international flights operated by Boeing 777-200s and 767-300s, in addition to select flights to and from Europe operated by Boeing 757s, offer the new premium duvet and pillow, slippers, and amenity kit.

    American’s new amenity kit features an Eames Office® design and includes a pen, toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues, Dentek earplugs, eyeshades, socks, a comb and Dermalogica skincare products including Active Moist Hand Cream, lip balm and a moist towelette.

    Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Domestic and International)

    American offers a variety of entertainment options inflight for premium class customers.

    In addition to offering traditional movies and music, American is the first domestic airline to offer branded tablets for premium class inflight entertainment with the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tabs on select flights. The customized tablets, which American were deployed in Dec. 2011, feature a 10.1-inch screen and are equipped with more than 70 movies, including 30 new releases.

    Additional tablet functionality and content will be rolled out over time, and will include Wi-Fi capability on equipped aircraft, games, eReader publications, and more.

    In addition, First and Business Class customers onboard American’s 777-200, 767 and select 757 aircraft can enjoy their favorite movies, music and TV shows with Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones. Offered in select markets, the headphones further elevate the premium experience for customers by fading background distractions and delivering a rich, clear audio.

    Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® Headphones

    Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones are offered to customers in First and Business Class cabins flying on American’s Boeing 777-200, 767 and select 757 aircraft in select markets.

    The headphones feature advancements in noise reduction technology, allowing customers the ability to relax or enjoy entertainment options inflight.

    Premium Services

    In addition to a selection of inflight amenities, American offers several services to help customers relax before, after or between flights.

    Five Star Service

    American Airlines expanded its Five Star Service to give customers the option to purchase one-on-one, personalized assistance while traveling.

    Five Star Service offers a choice of arrival, departure or connection assistance at 14 airports worldwide and includes access to American’s Admirals Club lounges. The services provided include: car service coordination, assistance at check-in, expedited security process, pre-boarding assistance, flight monitoring and re-booking accommodation, customs and immigration assistance, baggage claim assistance.     Admirals Club

    In 1939, American Airlines opened the industry's first VIP lounge at LaGuardia Airport in New York, forever changing travel at airports. Today, American Airlines has Admirals Club locations worldwide. Membership provides the key to private surroundings where members can relax or work before, after or between flights, and enjoy personalized, professional service from club staff.

    Pricing for new Admirals Club memberships is based on the level of American AAdvantage membership, ranging from $350 or 50,000 AAdvantage miles annually for a new Executive Platinum membership, to $500 or 80,000 miles annually for a regular membership. One Day Passes are available for $50, and a 30-Day membership – a new membership option – is available for $99. One Day and 30-Day memberships can be purchased online with a U.S. credit card or at any Admirals Club location. One Day Passes can also be purchased at any self-service check-in machines.

    Customers traveling on full-fare First Class cabin on an American Airlines three-class nonstop transcontinental flight or First Class on an American Airlines international* flight, are invited to enjoy the Flagship Lounge. oneworld™, First Class or Emerald international customers are also invited to use the Flagship Lounge when traveling on eligible oneworld flights.     Arrivals Lounge

    All First and Business Class passengers flying American to London Heathrow are invited to enjoy the Arrivals Lounge amenities upon their arrival. Main Cabin customers can access the Arrivals Lounge by paying a fee of $90 +VAT. To enter, travelers simply show their boarding pass and photo ID at the front desk.

    The Arrivals Lounge is open from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. and offers services and amenities, such as:

    AA, BA, IB Premium Lounge

    On Feb. 22, 2011, the former Miami Concourse E Admirals Club lounge re-opened as the first and only American Airlines (AA), British Airways (BA) and Iberia (IB) Premium lounge. The lounge is located in Concourse E, just beyond the security checkpoint on the fifth floor. In conjunction with the opening of the new Premium lounge, BA relocated from Concourse F to Concourse E on Feb. 22 and IB relocated to Concourse E on March 1.

    Flagship Check-in LAX

    In November 2011, American Airlines introduced Flagship Check-In, an exclusive check-in area designed to further differentiate and customize the travel experience for American’s high-value customers at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

    Flagship Check-In offers an exclusive entrance leading to a separate facility with stations staffed by customer service representatives who can personally assist with individual travel requirements, including check-in and baggage check, seat or itinerary changes and connecting flight information. Agents at Flagship Check-in are trained to provide personalized service to ensure an efficient and consistent travel experience.

    Los Angeles International Airport will be the first airport to implement AA’s new Flagship Check-In service, which will be available at additional airports in 2012.

    Recognizing that its high-value customers have unique preferences and expectations, American has designed Flagship Check-in to offer an exclusive, discreet and expedited check-in experience that meets these specific needs and desires.

    ConciergeKey® members and Five Star Service customers have access to Flagship Check-In at every airport where the service is offered.
