American’s fleet of 47 Boeing 777-200ER aircraft primarily provides long-haul service to cities in Europe and South America; and all routes to Asia.


First Class Cabin

Flagship Suite Seat: The First Class cabin onboard American’s 777-200ER is outfitted with 16 Flagship Suite seats in a 1-2-1 configuration.  Considered one of the most comfortable and popular First Class seats in the industry, each Flagship Suite transforms into a fully flat six-foot, six-inch bed with drop-down armrests that allow for easier access and more sleeping space. Each suite features privacy dividers, power ports, leather headrests, two large tray tables, a swivel seat and a host of other comforts designed to enhance the travel experience.

Entertainment: Premium customers traveling on a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft can view programming on adjustable in-seat entertainment devices offering a wide selection of feature movies, music, games and television shows via audio and video on-demand with the ability to fast-forward and rewind through the program.  The in-seat entertainment features a touch screen 8.4 inch tilting monitor and provides up to 47 feature movies, 75 hours of television, 30 music CDs, a variety of games, and 16 American Airlines-branded audio programs.  Inflight entertainment language options vary by market and include English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese.

Power Source: Each First Class seat is equipped with a DC power outlet that delivers 15V of direct current (and up to 75 watts). American does not provide adapters, but they are available for purchase on the Duty Free cart internationally where Duty Free is offered.

Inflight Amenities: Our 777-200ER First Class customers traveling on international flights can enjoy a suite of new premium class products, which include a turndown service with a quilted bed topper, pajamas and slippers.  American is the first U.S. airline to offer a turndown service.  Customers also receive a light-weight day blanket, a new premium duvet and pillow, an upgraded Eames® amenity kit with Dermalogica® skincare products and Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones.


Business Class Cabin

Lie-Flat-at-an-Angle Seat: The Business Class cabin offers 37 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration.  The fully adjustable lie-flat seat has a nine degree recline angle and five independent motors that offer extensive flexibility.  Customers can individually adjust any component of the seat, including the seat bottom, seat back, head rest, leg rest and leg-rest extension.  An innovative tray table design has two separate tables – one that lowers from the seat-back shell, and a second that lifts from the center console.  The tables can be used separately or together to create one large work or dining surface.

Leather Seat: The Main Cabin offers 194 seats in a 2-5-2 configuration.

Entertainment: Customers traveling on a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft can view programming on adjustable inseat entertainment devices offering a wide selection of feature movies, music, games and television shows via audio and video on-demand.  The in-seat entertainment features a touch screen 6.4-inch tilting monitor and provides up to 14 feature movies, 25 hours of television, a variety of games, and 16 American Airlines-branded audio programs.  Inflight entertainment language options vary by market and include English, Spanish,
Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese.

Power Source: Select seats throughout the Main Cabin are equipped with DC power outlets that deliver 15V of direct current (and up to 75 watts). American does not provide adapters, but they are available for purchase on the Duty Free cart internationally where Duty Free is offered.
