Serving those who serve our nation
American, volunteers honor those who serve

American Airlines customers and community volunteers joined us in in a rousing response to honor those who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces during our Veteran’s Day campaign this year. From those who donated their miles and funds to volunteers that personally serve military members and their families at the annual Sky Ball gala, we are proud to partner with communities and organizations across the country to support those who serve.
We would like to thank:
  • The more than 1,000 American employees who volunteered their time and effort to make Sky Ball XII a success. The annual gala raised $1.9 million for the Airpower Foundation, an organization that raises money for programs that directly benefit veterans, military service members and their families.
  • Our almost 400 AAdvantage® members who donated nearly $50,000 during this period to American’s Miles in Support of All Who Serve Program to support the USO.
  • The nearly 2,400 AAdvantage members who donated more than 10 million miles to Miles for All Who Serve.
  • The countless volunteers and organizations that partner with American to host 80 wounded, ill and injured troops and their guests at the sixth annual Salute the Troops in Las Vegas.
Your donations uplift our troops and their families through a variety of morale-boosting services and programs year-round.
With deep respect and appreciation, we thank our military and their families for their dedication and sacrifice by serving them as they serve our country.
