For a sixth consecutive year, American Airlines customers and employees continued to make a difference in the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children by participating in the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign
Throughout October 2014, American’s customers joined employees in supporting Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF via Change for Good on American Airlines through:
- Donations of foreign and domestic currency on select international flights that were accepted by flight attendant volunteers known as "Champions for Children"
- Online fundraisers for all American Airlines employees
This iconic program is the U.S. Fund for UNICEF's longest-running volunteer movement and has engaged generations of grassroots supporters of UNICEF's mission to reduce the number of preventable childhood deaths to zero.
Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF remains an inspiration to the young (and the young at heart) to provide for children in need around the globe.
Thank you for joining American and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to make Halloween count through Change for Good on American Airlines. Donations continue to help UNICEF provide children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more.
The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is also supported under the American Airlines Kids in Need program
. The Kids In Need program provides worldwide support for children and their families, as well as for organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with needs for medical, educational, social services issues and/or for those that heighten public awareness of children's issues. Beneficiaries of the program include individuals as well as organizations with needs related to medical, educational and social concerns, and/or causes that heighten public awareness of children’s issues.
