Something mAAgic® Happens Here
Help dreams take flight for children with chronic and life-threatening medical conditions

Imagine having the power to grant wishes. Would you give others the gift of love? Take away their sadness? Or give them magical memories to last a lifetime? For children with chronic or life-threatening medical conditions, the Something mAAgic Foundation aims to grant all of these wishes.

Founded in 1996, the Something mAAgic Foundation is a nonprofit organization made of volunteers — current and former employees of American Airlines with a mission to create magical memories for children with chronic or life-threatening medical conditions.

Each year, the Something mAAgic Foundation sponsors the wishes and dreams of these very special children and their families by providing an unforgettable vacation experience in Orlando, Fla. The families stay at Give Kids The World Village® and spend a week enjoying the area’s local attractions. Something mAAgic also provides “wish enhancements” — going that extra mile to ensure wishes are fulfilled in an extraordinary way — to children flying on American to their wish destinations.

Travel to Give Kids The World Village and other wish destinations is provided through American’s Kids In Need program. More than $2 million worth of cash and in-kind donations have been raised by the Something mAAgic Foundation to fund the wishes and dreams of kids from Asia, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Mexico and the United States.

You can help American continue to grant the wishes of American’s smallest passengers by donating your unused miles to Miles For Kids In Need®.
