American Airlines and the CBS Television Stations group have teamed together again to raise awareness for Miles For Kids In Need®
, part of the American Airlines Kids In Needsm
program. For more than two decades, this program has helped improve the quality of life for children and their families around the globe.
This year’s spots feature Jim Nantz, a five-time National Sportscaster of the Year who has covered virtually every sport for the CBS Television Network for the past 28 years. These days he’s the lead play-by-play voice for THE NFL ON CBS, as well as the anchor of CBS’s golf coverage and the lead play-by-play announcer for college basketball.
The 10-, 15- and 30-second spots are currently airing on CBS-owned stations across the country. “Our stations welcome the opportunity to once again collaborate with American Airlines on this terrific program,” says Peter Dunn, President, CBS Television Stations. “We hope this initiative encourages our viewers to provide assistance to kids and their families at a time when they could really use some help.”
The Miles for Kids In Need program creates a rewarding way for AAdvantage® members to help provide support for children and their families via partnerships with some of the world’s foremost organizations dedicated to caring for children. Last year AAdvantage members generously donated close to 127 million of their unused AAdvantage miles. These miles help hundreds of children organizations like Dana Farber, Something mAAgic Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and others. The miles have also been used to provide air transportation to nearly 522 critically ill children, and their parents/guardians, in need of medical treatment.
Please join us in supporting children in need. We, and the kids, appreciate it.
*Minimum donation of 1,000 miles required. Members who have an available balance of less than 1,000 miles may donate their entire balance.
