BE PINK: Breast Cancer Awareness
Our thanks goes to the 724 AAdvantage members who donated $76,950 during our Miles for the Cure® campaign. It was our pleasure to reward their generosity with 1.2 million AAdvantage miles.

For more than 30 years, American Airlines has supported the fight to end breast cancer in the U.S. and throughout the world.

In October, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AAdvantage® members had the opportunity to receive 15 miles, instead of 10, for each dollar donated, with a minimum donation of just $25.

A Promise to BE PINK
When most people hear the word “cancer,” they fear the worst. That’s how I felt when my wife Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and our lives were changed forever. During that difficult time, I became very involved in our local Tulsa Susan G. Komen® chapter and was glad to know that this organization and cause are also supported by my company,  American Airlines.
