We took the Jungle River Cruise to visit the Mayan ruins near Orange Walk, Belize. Our guides were friendly and professional. They gave us information as we rode along the New River about the culture of the people who lived along the river. They made a point to stop along the way to allow a couple of monkeys to come aboard and entertain us.
The ruins were amazing. When we arrived, we had a nice Belizean lunch served to us under the Palapas before we began our jungle trek to see the fabulous ruins. The guides were full of information about the Mayan culture and the efforts to excavate the ruins.
