Adventure awaits aboard these world-class cruise ships.

The spring class of 2013 cruise ships sets sail May 12 with the new 4,000-passenger Norwegian Breakaway (breakaway.ncl.com), which offers an ice bar on board as well as three Broadway-originating shows, chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s first restaurant at sea, and an enormous water park. Weekly departures run New York to Bermuda through September.

Also in May, the 516-passenger MS Europa 2 (hl-cruises.com) will set sail in the Mediterranean as the first bilingual German-English ship from Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. Each cabin in the all-suite configuration includes a private balcony, complimentary minibar, and tablet PCs.

And in Portugal, Uniworld’s newest river cruiser, Queen Isabel (uniworld.com), launches on the Douro River. The ship, complete with a top-deck pool, will carry 118 passengers through the port wine district on 11-day trips beginning March 28.
