Just as we began planning the issue, I was notified that Celebrated Living had been named Best Quarterly Magazine by the esteemed Western Publishing Association. A few weeks later, more accolades arrived, this time from the prestigious Magnum Opus Awards. Celebrated Living won Best Special-Topic Issue for last fall’s Food and Wine Issue and also received an Honorable Mention in the Best Interview/Profile category for our Winter 2010 cover story, “The Real Deal: Josh Brolin.” See our past issues and stories online at celebratedliving.com.
Needless to say, the team was thrilled, and we pushed to create another Food and Wine Issue that you, our enormously important reader, would delight in. And what a combination this issue is: a huge feature story on the amazing food and sites of Italy, an insiders’ guide to restaurants around the globe, beautiful photo shoots on delectable gourmet essentials and fun cocktails, and much more.
Like to cook? Then you must partake in the online exclusives we offer along with the magazine. Recipes from Giada’s latest cookbook, Giada at Home, as well as classic recipes from each of the cities in the Italy story are yours to enjoy. You’ll also find some cool new cocktail recipes to go along with those dishes — all at celebratedliving.com/webexclusives.
Also online (at celebratedliving.com/promotions) is a cool video clip of the Grand Prize winner from our Readers’ Choice Platinum List sweepstakes accepting a pair of TAG Heuer Aquaracer watches at luxury jeweler Little Switzerland’s Ritz-Carlton San Juan, Puerto Rico, location. Another part of the prize was a half-million AAdvantage miles. All this just for voting. Stay tuned: The next Readers’ Choice Platinum List sweepstakes begins November 15. And by the time you read this, we will have chosen the winner of a Villy Customs beach cruiser bicycle valued at $1,000. As of press time, thousands of you wanted to design your own custom cruiser.
Speaking of winning combinations, we have exciting news on the corporate front as well. American Airlines is making history with the largest aircraft order in aviation, inking landmark agreements with Airbus and Boeing that are expected to create the youngest, most fuel-efficient fleet among U.S. industry peers within about five years. Customers will enjoy state-of-the-art aircraft with the latest technology and amenities. A win-win for all, I’d say.
We hope you savor every page of this Fall Food and Wine Issue. Until next time, Ciao!
