Now you can set sail with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and the Disney gang from Texas’ Gulf Coast. In September, Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic — a modern-day cruise liner that can accommodate more than 2,700 passengers — arrived at the Port of Galveston to launch its inaugural season. Guests can choose among excursions that range from a quick four-night getaway that includes a visit to the Caribbean island of Cozumel to an eight-night journey that features an entire day on Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas. It’s the perfect spot for snorkeling and sunbathing, and in true Disney style, occasional Lilo and Stitch dance parties. The eight-night trip also boasts a stop at Port Canaveral, Fla., where guests receive round-trip transportation and a one-day Park Hopper ticket to Walt Disney World Resort.

Designed in the glamorous style of the world’s great ocean liners, Disney Magic comes furnished with 11 decks, three pools and an art deco interior outfitted with rare Disney animation cels. Activities include Disney-themed stage shows and screenings of the latest Disney flicks. You can also mingle with some of your Disney faves, like Snow White and Captain Hook.
