Because of child-labor laws, Hailee Steinfeld was unable to film after midnight while making True Grit — which is out now on Blu-ray and DVD (Paramount Home Entertainment, $40 for combo pack). This proved challenging, as much of the movie takes place at night. To help speed production along, the Coen brothers used a double for scenes that would have required only Steinfeld’s shoulder or back to be shown.
