LODGING
» Hotel Commonwealth, moderate, (617) 933-5000. The location
may be on historic Commonwealth Avenue (within walking distance of
Fenway, Boston University, and Newbury Street), but it's the
hotel's modern, high-tech features that helped it nab the title of
Best New Business Hotel by Forbes.com.
» The Midtown Hotel, moderate, (617) 369-6240. This may not
be the most stylish or up-to-date lodging in Boston, but it's
clean, it's conveniently situated, and it's a great bargain. What
really takes the cake, though, is the free parking in the garage
under the hotel.
