mori: yes, i expect to see several of these complexes in tokyo — vibrant cultural centers connected by it infrastructure, mass transportation, and greenbelts. they have to share the same environment-, culture-, and technology-conscious mindset. tokyo needs these cores to flourish in the future.
american way: what do you imagine tokyo will look like in another 50 years? another 100?
mori: we need to think that far out into the future. and in the future, i believe that roppongi hills will be seen as a model for the world. it will be referred to as a vertical garden city, a city with an amalgamation of cultures with true japanese culture as its centerpiece.
