CULTURE

Dinner shows for tourists can often seem hokey -- a bland song-and-dance stop for visiting convention delegates. Not so with Teatro ZinZanni, a tripped-out combination of European cabaret, circus acrobatics, and interactive comedy improvisation that could easily end up with an audience member from Indiana suddenly finding himself wearing a dress and curtsying to the crowd.

Inspired by a wine tasting he attended in a spiegeltent in Barcelona, ZinZanni founder Norman Langill returned to the United States determined to create a show around the venue of the tent. What Langill developed with ZinZanni is a spectacular mix of jugglers, opera singers, contortionists, vaudeville jokes, and aerial stunts that occur right above your table.
