The next time you’re wondering “Is this the one?” — just take a trip to the ice-cream parlor. According to a study conducted by the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation for Dreyer’s/Edy’s Grand Ice Cream, choice of ice-cream flavors is linked to romantic compatibility.

Strawberry lovers (shy, thoughtful, and comfortable out of the limelight) have the most choices for mates, being equally matched with rocky road, mint chocolate chip, vanilla, and other strawberry lovers. Mint chocolate chip eaters (ambitious, full of confidence, and always prepared for the future) are compatible with other mint chippers. Those partial to coffee flavors (lively, flirtatious, and thriving on excitement) are linked with strawberry lovers. Rocky road eaters (social, goal-oriented, and content with being catered to) should stick with their own flavor, while vanilla enthusiasts (daring, adventuresome, and acting on instinct) can branch out
with the more spicy rocky road types. And butter pecan fans (respectful of others, full of integrity, and very devoted) — they stay fresh with mint chocolate chip fans.
