Kids (and soon adults) finally have a place to act out their favorite ninja fantasies: the newly opened Lil’ Ninjas in Dallas. Inspired by the hit NBC show American Ninja Warrior, Lil’ Ninjas is home to a variety of youth-aimed obstacles designed to help kids challenge themselves while having fun in the process. Activities include a 12-foot-tall cargo-net climb, a canyon crawl and the popular Warped Wall, an 8-foot-tall version of the concave quarter-pipe seen on the show. Kids must get a running start and latch on to the top of the wall to scale it. While an adult component of Lil’ Ninjas is slated to open later this year, perennial kids at heart can still accompany their young ones on the obstacles, play some hoops on the center’s basketball half-court or join in a pickup game of dodgeball on one of two regulation-size courts. There’s also a relaxation area with both TV and Wi-Fi, so parents can get in some downtime while keeping an eye on their kids.
