Osteria Mattone
Katelyn Hardwick

Now you can experience a Roman-esque holiday right in Atlanta. The newly opened OSTERIA MATTONE specializes in regional Italian fare with a focus on the cuisine of the country’s capital: antipasti dishes like prosciutto served with seasonal fruit and suppli al telefono, or risotto balls fried with mozzarella, bolognese and tomato, as well as heartier main dishes such as roasted pork shoulder seasoned with wild fennel and rosemary. House-made pastas are the restaurant’s strong suit, along with the variety of its dining options. Stop in for a quick bowl of spaghetti alla carbonara in the eatery’s casual osteria or bring the whole family for a three-course meal in the more formal trattoria. Osteria Mattone’s sommelier, Dan Pernice, was part of the James Beard Award-winning wine program at The Modern in New York, so expect an exciting vino selection to boot.
