People may have snickered at the name when the CuisinArt Resort & Spa opened in Anguilla 10 years ago, but the 93-room property quickly won over skeptics with its gorgeous setting, large rooms (all have ocean views, and some have private solariums and outdoor showers), and impeccable service. Now it’s set to woo fans all over again: After a $10 million expansion, the spa has become one of the largest in the Caribbean, even featuring a Healing Waters Pool with built-in lounges. The resort is also the only one in the world to have its own 18,000-square-foot hydroponic farm that produces vegetables, fruits, edible flowers, and herbs -- all of which are used in both the spa (for treatments) and in the resort’s restaurants. For those who are really looking to splurge, though, the resort unveiled the first of its new oceanfront villas -- three bedrooms with a private pool and terrace -- last month, and it’ll only set you back a mere mind-blowing $1,225 per night. The remaining five-bedroom, two-story villas are expected to be ready for guests in July. Rooms from $400. (800) 943-3210, www.cuisinartresort.com.
