She stole scenes from Steve Carell in Crazy, Stupid, Love., and there’s no doubt Analeigh Tipton (pronounced Ahna-lee) will do the same in the new zombie romance flick, Warm Bodies, in which she plays the best friend of a girl who falls for an undead suitor. “It’s really a beautiful love story in this post-apocalyptic world,” she says.

Given the silly vibe on set — with co-stars like Nicholas Hoult goofing around in costume — Tipton wasn’t freaked out while filming. So if not zombies, what does scare the 24-year-old actress? The former figure skater and America’s Next Top Model runner-up shares what she’s really afraid of.

Cockroaches:
“They’re really the only thing that make me scream my head off like a child. I was at a museum and got to hold a cockroach recently, so I’d like to think I overcame that fear. But I don’t think I could handle more than one at a time.”

The Word Theoretical:
“I had to say the word in a script, and they had to change it to hypothetical because I just could not get it out of my mouth. I just don’t know how to say it.”

People Thinking She’s Cold:
“I’m really comfortable being silent, just reading and writing, so I worry that people think I’m odd or aloof. And big crowds make me hyperventilate.”
