If you are one of the five people we declare as winners (and I’ll explain how that happens in a bit), this is what you’ll get: The grand-prize winner will receive two million Hilton HHonors Bonus Points, a million American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles, and a two-year membership to the Admirals Club.
The second-place winner will get a whole lot of super products from Bose, including the Lifestyle 48 home entertainment system, a SoundDock digital music system, and a pair of QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones, as well as a four-night vacation for two at Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf Resort, courtesy of American Airlines Vacations, and a one-year Admirals Club membership.
Three third-place winners will take off for a four-night vacation for two at Hilton Cancun Golf and Spa Resort from American Airlines Vacations and enjoy a one-year Admirals Club membership. On top of that, each of the five winners will receive a Panasonic Toughbook W5 laptop computer.
But wait — that’s not all. The five winners and their guests will be whisked away to an as-of-yet-unannounced Hilton Family hotel for their big photo shoot. Let me just say that if you’re going to enter this contest, you may want to make sure your passport is up-to-date.
And what must you do to stand a chance of being one of our five winners? We change the contest up a bit each year, but you can always count on it being fun (well, for us, anyway) and creative (for you).
This year, we are asking you to upload the photos that you feel best show your life as a road warrior and to write captions to go with them. We’re also going to send you back to your high school days and have you write a haiku for us. (But we’re not so mean as to leave you on your own to try to recall what a haiku is. There’s an example on our website.) And then there’s a quick multiple-guess test for you that any frequent-flier should not only be able to answer with ease but also have fun doing!
There are more details at www.americanwaymag.com/roadwarrior for the rules, regulations, and (more importantly) the entry form.
Please think of us as you put together your entry. Because after August 31, everyone on the American Way art and edit staffs (plus anyone else we can coerce into helping us) will begin sifting through the thousands of entries. And it’s the entries that really capture our attention that are sure to go far.
PS: For all sorts of legal reasons, the contest is open only to U.S. residents. My apologies in advance to all our international road warriors.
