What We’re Drinking This Minute:
What It Is:
Bourbon — and the first new product from Maker’s Mark in 52 years.
How It’s Made:
It’s handcrafted out of the original Maker’s Mark; it becomes the “46” version after the Maker’s Mark is emptied from the barrel, 10 seared French oak staves are attached to the sides of that same barrel, and the Maker’s Mark is returned to the barrel and aged several more months.
Why It’s Different:
The bourbon isn’t bitter in the least , and the French oak staves bring out the natural flavors of vanilla, caramel and spice.
How to Drink It:
Really? You have to ask?
