It’s July in Chicago, and for indie-music lovers, that means only one thing: Pitchfork Music Festival. This year’s event, July 15–17, boasts an outstanding lineup that includes TV on the Radio (we saw them at SXSW this year, and you don’t want to miss them), Fleet Foxes, Cut Copy (best live dance party ever), Twin Shadow, Neko Case, Destroyer, Tune-Yards and about 40 other bands spread out on three stages across Chi-town’s Union Park. Last year’s fest brought crowds of about 54,000. Expect more of the same — or just more — this time around. $45 per day, www.pitchforkmusicfestival.com
