Nestled in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts is Tanglewood, the 525-acre summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This year, an impressive lineup of musical guests (including Yo-Yo Ma, James Taylor and Chick Corea) is in town to celebrate the 75th-anniversary season, which runs from June 22 through Sept. 2. Two shows from the inaugural season in 1937 will also be re-created: an all-Beethoven performance on July 7 and an all-Wagner show on July 21. Less than three hours from both Boston and New York, the music facility features two world-class performance venues, including an outdoor lawn that seats 13,000 (think picnic in the park). Tickets start at $10, with free lawn tickets for visitors under 17 years of age and a 50 percent discount on lawn tickets for college and graduate students. www.tanglewood.org
